چکیده
The authors regret that in the original online article, the contour plots in Fig. 10 F were not correct. The plots in panel J were inadvertently copied to panel F during the revision process. The contour plots in panel F have since been replaced in the online HTML and PDF versions of the article as well as in the print version. The change does not alter the conclusions of the paper.

Deletion of Slam locus in mice reveals inhibitory role of SLAM family in NK cell responses regulated by cytokines and LFA-1
Signaling lymphocytic activation molecule (SLAM) family receptors (SFRs) can mediate either activating or inhibitory effects during natural killer cell (NK cell) activation. In this study, we addressed the global role, regulation, and mechanism of action of the SLAM family in NK cells by analyzing a mouse lacking the entire ∼400-kilobase Slam locus, which encodes all six SFRs and CD48, the liga...
متن کاملSystemic lupus erythematosus immune complexes increase the expression of SLAM family members CD319 (CRACC) and CD229 (LY-9) on plasmacytoid dendritic cells and CD319 on CD56(dim) NK cells.
Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) display an activated type I IFN system due to unceasing IFN-α release from plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) stimulated by nucleic acid-containing immune complexes (ICs). NK cells strongly promote the IFN-α production by pDCs; therefore, we investigated surface molecules that could be involved in the pDC-NK cell cross-talk. In human PBMCs stimu...
متن کاملActivation by SLAM Family Receptors Contributes to NK Cell Mediated “Missing-Self” Recognition
Natural Killer (NK) cells attack normal hematopoietic cells that do not express inhibitory MHC class I (MHC-I) molecules, but the ligands that activate NK cells remain incompletely defined. Here we show that the expression of the Signaling Lymphocyte Activation Molecule (SLAM) family members CD48 and Ly9 (CD229) by MHC-I-deficient tumor cells significantly contributes to NK cell activation. Whe...
متن کاملCorrection: Cytomegalovirus m154 Hinders CD48 Cell-Surface Expression and Promotes Viral Escape from Host Natural Killer Cell Control
Receptors of the signalling lymphocyte-activation molecules (SLAM) family are involved in the functional regulation of a variety of immune cells upon engagement through homotypic or heterotypic interactions amongst them. Here we show that murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) dampens the surface expression of several SLAM receptors during the course of the infection of macrophages. By screening a panel...
متن کاملSlam haplotypes modulate the response to lipopolysaccharide in vivo through control of NKT cell number and function.
CD1d-restricted NKT cells make up an innate-like T cell subset that plays a role in amplifying the response of innate immune leukocytes to TLR ligands. The Slam locus contains genes that have been implicated in innate and adaptive immune responses. In this study, we demonstrate that divergent Slam locus haplotypes modulate the response of macrophages to the TLR4 ligand LPS through their control...
